Hunter, Slayde, & Cai

the boys were too cool for katie.
cai was cooperative, sweet, and OH so photogenic!
this session was challenging in that i have not worked with boys this age much, let alone cousins that don't get to see each other much and were in that "goofy cousin mode".
it was fun, it was hot, and we even broke down (the car i mean!)

Happy Wedding Day Mr. & Mrs. Ray!!

I had the lovely honor of meeting Peter and Jenna when Jenna's mom gifted this session to them for their wedding! Today just happens to be their actual wedding day. They decided to have a small ceremony in Minnesota and from my understanding, did not hire a professional photographer. I feel so lucky to be the one to capture their love for each other. We had so much fun at the session. I eavesdropped on some pretty funny conversation and we just walked around and took photos. I told them to pretend I wasn't there and did they ever listen! I loved watching this couple interact with each other. It was sweet and genuine and kind and gentle but also very fun and light. Thank you so much Jenna and Peter for spending the day with me!

Jenna's ring is an actual antique ring from the 1920's! Gorgeous!

Jenna and Peter, please feel free to use any of these preview photos for online use only. Again, thank you so much for allowing me into your lives for the day. I truly enjoyed getting to know you both!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ray!

We should all be serenaded

I have decided that in every photo shoot, I shall be accompanied by a bald man playing acoustic guitar. No seriously...

This was the most relaxing and fun session I've had in a while! This couple was amazingly laid back and fun and I was probably the least professional that I have ever been at a session. Gotta read your clients, right?

Daddy was afraid of the sparrows that kept swooping down and pooping VERY close to them!

Pretty pretty PRETTY!

Mama was laughing at Daddy cuz he wanted to leave....dang birds!

So many inappropriate comments made in these few moments. So fun!

The clouds were perfect and she was such a trooper climbing up on that wall!
I'm so excited to meet baby Bryce in a couple weeks!

Dark Haired Beauty

I'd love to give you more from this session, but we are working on an anniversary surprise so this is as much as we can do! I had so much fun with "Mrs." She was quite nervous about doing a shoot as she felt that she couldn't take sexy photos. I tend to disagree! Once we got past the jumpy TRYING to look sexy, her natural beauty and sultry eyes came out BIG TIME! I can't wait to hear how "Mr." likes his anniversary present!

Peralta Family

So I'm sitting on vacation editing this session from last night because I just couldn't wait until I got home!
Zana and Wilson were my neighbors when I lived in Arizona and even though I'm HORRIBLE at keeping in touch, every time I see them, it's as if no time has passed. Except...the BOYS!

Oh...EM...Gee! When we were neighbors, Zana had just found out that she was expecting Julian! Wow how things have changed...

I couldn't be luckier to have them in my chosen family!

What a gorgeous family, don't you think?!

These boys are gonna be trouble! Seriously...how handsome can they get?

So very handsome you have gotten Andy!

gonna be a heart breaker...

Such a beautiful mommy!

He had just fallen off a ledge and handled it very well I might add. A few kisses from mommy and we were back in business! I may be sugar coating it ;)

I miss you guys so much! I wish we had more time to catch up. Next time I come to town, we're getting a babysitter again and going out on the town!

There will be many more to come but I just couldn't resist posting a preview of this gorgeous family. Thank you Zana and Wilson for allowing me to be a part of your family for an hour. :)

Ain't Nothin' Gonna Break-a My Stride

So....today started out like any other day. Woke up and cuddle with Kai on the heater vent until we were both awake enough to start our day. Got him off to school on the bus. Drove Kiarah to school and watched her skip all the way up to the school. I had a little time to kill before work so I decided to jet to Starbucks for an extra pick-me-up. Multitasking in the drive through getting things taken care of. So productive! Then, the nice lady in the blue suburban in front of me (license plate SD GIRL) bought my quad shot white mocha for me! I of course still tipped the drive thru guy (he seemed surprised) and made sure to catch this generous lady and we had a really cool "wave frantically to say thank you and have a nice day" moment that just made my day! Then this song accompanied me on my drive to work.

Today shall be a great day everyone! I declare it so!

Baby P is Coming Soon!

I was so excited to work with this beautiful couple. Luckily they made it! They had spent the evening before in the hospital...lucky for me it was a false alarm!
Mommy was absolutely beautiful and kept my creative juices flowing! There is SO much more to come from this session but I just had to share some of what I've done so far.

Love the abstract!

Can't wait to meet you beautiful little Payton!

Stay tuned for baby Payton's newborn session! May be sooner than we think! <3
It was such a pleasure to meet you Teresa and Kritter!
