We are all judged...

tonight my blog post is not about a beautiful baby. or a happy smiling couple.
but of me.

my need to connect with mankind.
to feel the beauty in the world.
to see beyond the superficial, the material, the bullshit and find the human in all of us.

when did we all become so concerned with things that don't matter?
to have an opinion of others without actually getting to know them?
to judge someone based upon how they look, how they dress, where they work, who they sleep with, the choices they make, the choices they DON'T make?!

i'm so tired of it.

when my six year old daughter comes home and tells me of being bullied i want to just scream.
i want to just shake these tiny human beings and ask them WHY?
why are we so mean to each other?
why can't we see the beauty in others?

the amazing light of the sun shining on a head of red hair
the scars of carrying a child
the beauty in expressing yourself in ink
the intimacy of having someone you love love you back, whether that's a man or a woman
the freedom of an unchecked belly laugh
dancing in your livingroom like no one is watching
the right to make a decision, then change your mind
these are all such beautiful things that make us human

why are we so mean to each other?

Bryce minus the guitar and mohawk!

Bryce looks so different without his mowhawk! I've been taking this little guy's photos since he was just days old. It always makes me so sad to see how fast they grow :(

What's THAT?!?! haha I swear I've seen this photo somewhere. Seems all little boys this age get fascinated with this discovery :)

Preston is 9 months!

I have very much enjoyed watching Preston grow. How is it possible that he has gotten this big this fast??

Gabe is 6 months!

Mr Gabe, you get cuter and cuter every time we meet! Someday you will break hearts with those blue eyes of yours!

Kaitlyn is 6 months!

Little miss Kaitlyn is so much fun to work with. And of course mom and dad are some of my favorite parents ever! Miss Kaitlyn's adoption became final just after Christmas and I coudn't be more happy for this perfect family!
